ANSWER
Crabs and pubic lice are treated with creams that contain chemicals like lindance, permethrin or pyrethrins. They are applied for 5-10 minutes and then washed off. Bedding and clothing should be de-contaminated with machine-washing and drying OR removed from any body contact for 72 hours. Any sex partners within the past month should also be treated.
